It’s that time once again! The Tribe MC of Seattle will meet at 9 AM at the Factoria Starbucks for a quick coffee and then hit the road for Fall City. We leave at 9:30 sharp, so come gassed up and ready to ride. In Fall City, we’ll connect with the Moyer Foundation Catch a Cure Ride and then head over to Bad Dog’s house in Woodinville for lunch and a bike blessing. Should be a great day! We ride rain or shine.

The Tribe MC of Seattle will be meeting on Sunday 25 April 2010 at 9 AM at the Starbucks in Factoria for our monthly meet and ride. This month we’re planning on taking the ferry to Kingston and riding out to Port Townsend for lunch/brunch at the Spruce Goose assuming the weather holds up. The plan is to leave at 9:30 sharp! Be sure you are fueled up and ready to go so we can make the 10:10 ferry. We meet rain or shine, so if the weather is lousy, we’ll figure out an alternative plan on Sunday morning. Craig and Denise have also invited everyone over on Sunday evening — please let them know if you plan on attending. See you Sunday morning!
It’s the pre-Pesach meet & ride! 9AM on Sunday 28 March 2010 at the Factoria Starbucks. No destination in mind yet (and keep in mind that a few of us will probably have to head home early enough to clean out the remainder of our chametz). But before Pesach is always a good time to go dip into some pancakes, waffles, bagels, and other assorted goodies that we won’t get to enjoy over the week that follows.

It’s time for the monthly ride, but this time with a little community outreach. The Tribe MC will meet at 9 AM at the Factoria Starbucks as usual, for a bit of coffee and a short ride. From there, we will head over to the SJCC on Mercer Island where we will be running a booth at the Purim Carnival! The Tribe MC will have a couple of bikes at the carnival for the kids to sit on and get their picture taken. This is a great opportunity to be out in the community and let them know all about us! Please be there!
No desitination determined yet, but The Tribe MC of Seattle meets rain or shine on Sunday, 31 January at 9:00 AM at the Factoria Starbucks. If you haven’t paid your 2010 dues, bring $18 with you! Among other things, we’ll talk a little about the upcoming Ride 2 Remember in Skokie and our Purim booth at the SJCC.

Place it on your calendar. It’s a welcome to the new year, a last opportunity to have some more latkes, and an excuse to use those left over chanukah candles. Our last holiday party was in the dark…electrical outages all over Puget Sound. Nevertheless, we had great fun. Candle lighting, making latkes on a gas stove, drinking wine and warm conviviality. An event to remember. Let’s do it again. Your hosts invite you to bring a menorah, left over candles, a side dish, entree or beverage to share. We’ll have the potatoes, onions, oil, skillets, et al ready to go.

Because of the number of folks out of town over the winter holidays, there will be no ride or meeting on the 29th of December. Instead, we will have an event on the 3rd of January, an opportunity to either dry out from the New Year’s celebrations or have one last hurrah before the first work day of the new year.
